Dear CrossRoads Missions Family,
As we approach the end of 2024, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support. Your generosity drives the vital work of CrossRoads Missions, enabling us to touch lives, strengthen communities, and offer hope in ways we couldn’t achieve without you.
This year brought both blessings and challenges, but thanks to your faithfulness, we’ve navigated them together. Let me share some incredible ways God has worked through our ministry and invite you to join us in meeting critical needs as we move into 2025.
The Impact You’ve Made
Your support has transformed lives through our diverse ministries:
· Immigrant Care: Hundreds of immigrant families have been provided with critical resources and a place of safety. Through your support, we’ve not only met their physical needs, but have also demonstrated to them the love of Christ through prayer, encouragement, and relationship.
· English House in Mexico: Our English House continues to change lives by equipping individuals and families with essential ESL skills that can help lead to better jobs and brighter futures. Just like our construction projects, ESL classes allow us to build long-term relationships, providing consistent opportunities to demonstrate and share the love of Christ with those we serve.
· Flood Recovery in Floyd County, KY: Volunteers in Appalachia continued to play a key role in the rebuilding efforts within Floyd County, KY after three years of devastating flooding took place there. From repairing homes to restoring infrastructure, to creating a new and improved community baseball park, this ongoing effort has brought hope and healing to families who lost so much.
· Community Development in New Orleans: CrossRoads continued its collaboration with long-term ministry partners throughout New Orleans to tackle critical challenges such as housing, hunger, and community revitalization. Additionally, new partnerships have enhanced our capacity to support and serve the city’s most vulnerable residents.
· Camp Hope: For years, Camp Hope has housed volunteers from CrossRoads Missions as well as many other service-focused organizations across the country. This year, our New Orleans team took over the full-time management and operation of the facility from our church partner, The Gathering. Moving forward, our team will be responsible for hosting volunteer teams from CrossRoads and other organizations serving those in need throughout the city of New Orleans.
· Help Build Hope: Despite the transition of a new Director and the retirement of several key project managers, Help Build Hope had another successful year, hosting nearly 70 framing events in church and organization parking lots across the country. This brings the total number of framed homes donated by CrossRoads to over 1,700. These homes are donated to partner organizations like Habitat for Humanity, where they are completed and provided to families in need.
· Operation Recovery – Volunteers have continued to provide help and hope to the residents of Dawson Springs, KY, following the devastating 2021 tornadoes. As we wrap up our final year in the community, we celebrate the transformation brought by constructing 30 new homes and completing over 100 debris removal and home repair projects. These efforts have not only restored lives but have also elevated the church as a central force in the recovery process.
· Cope’s Hope and Equine Therapy: ServeLouisville volunteers deepened their partnership with Cope’s Hope, an equine therapy organization serving individuals with mental and physical disabilities. This year, they expanded living facilities at the main house and enhanced the equine therapy space, allowing Cope’s Hope to serve more people with life-changing therapeutic experiences.
· Bloc Ministries Partnership in Louisville: ServeLouisville teams have also contributed to the ongoing renovation of a large building that will be used as a community center by one of our newest ministry partners, Bloc Ministries, whose focus is on building connections and safe spaces for students, families and adults to thrive and succeed in spite of difficult circumstances. This new center will be a hub for development in one of Louisville’s most underserved neighborhoods, providing resources and opportunities for transformation.
· Emergency Response in Southern Indiana: A Southern Indiana woman, left homeless after losing her job and having her electricity shut off—causing her sump pump to fail and her basement to flood—had her home fully restored by ServeLouisville volunteers after a compassionate neighbor reached out to CrossRoads.
A New Chapter: Operation Recovery in East Tennessee
As we conclude our work in Western Kentucky, which supported tornado recovery efforts, we’re launching Operation Recovery – East Tennessee. This new field will provide long-term relief for those affected by the catastrophic flooding caused by Hurricane Helene in Johnson County, TN.
A Critical Need: General Operating Funds
To sustain and grow these ministries, we must secure $20,000+ in monthly operating support. Unlike project-specific funding, operational funds cover essential costs like staffing, administration, and ministry logistics. These resources are critical to ensuring our six ministries continue to thrive and impact lives.
How You Can Help
A small monthly gift can make a big difference. If 500 supporters gave just $10 a month, we’d meet our critical operating needs. Your recurring donation will enable us to empower partners, transform communities, and expand our outreach in 2025.
Your Support Matters
This season of giving is a perfect time to ensure the sustainability of this vital work. Together, we can continue to serve, rebuild, and restore hope in the name of Christ.
Thank you for your commitment to CrossRoads Missions. May God bless you richly as we serve Him together.
In His service,
Rob Minton Executive Director, CrossRoads Missions
