CrossRoads Missions
About Us

The Words of Jesus are simple and straightforward: “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me.”

We see so many in our world in need: families searching for affordable and livable housing, the homeless, widows, widowers, single parents, immigrants, people in humanitarian crises, hungry people, heartbroken people, the list is endless. We also look around and see individuals and families who seek to spread hope in a community but do not have the time, knowledge, or resources to do so. We have so many opportunities to be a light in our world. At CrossRoads Missions, we seek to connect willing hands to hurting hearts.

Founded in 1993, CrossRoads Missions serves as a conduit for organizations, volunteers, and funders seeking outreach and giving opportunities they may otherwise have difficulty reaching. We accomplish this goal by bringing people of all ages into impactful service in the United States and Mexico.

These experiences significantly challenge those who consider more profound involvement in philanthropy in the world and their communities.

For more information about our history and mission, read Crossroads Missions, Our 20th Year.

Mission teams who participate with us are involved in multiple areas of ministry, including:

  • Construction
  • Medical missions
  • Education
  • Discipleship
  • Evangelism
  • Worship
  • Disaster relief

CrossRoads Missions enhances existing local ministries and nonprofits, supporting them with additional resources they may be unable to provide. Our service achieves its highest level of effectiveness by working alongside these ministries so that, when we leave, the ministry of love does not.

How can you serve with CrossRoads Missions?

How can you fund the work of CrossRoads Missions?
We offer philanthropic opportunities in the following geographic fields:

  • Appalachia (based in Floyd County, KY)
  • New Orleans
  • Mexico (based in Piedras Negras)
  • ServeLouisville offers opportunities for out-of-town groups and residents in the Louisville, KY, area to create homeownership for families dedicated to our Missional Living Program.

We also hold builds across the country through Help Build Hope.

CrossRoads Missions has professional, full-time construction staff that oversees the work done in our fields and administrative personnel that manages the entire program.

We also offer internship opportunities that are both short-term and yearlong.

You can help CrossRoads from the comfort of your own home.

1. Pray: Pray for the new families in need of help, and opportunities to serve in all of our fields. Pray that once again we can change lives and communities. Will you pray for God to raise up the funds necessary to bring light to others.

2. Promote: Would you consider promoting our volunteer opportunities and mission trip opportunities for service to your friends, clubs, classes, home groups, etc.? Many times, it just takes someone to extend an invitation. Next time you volunteer, will you purposely invite someone else to join you?

3. Provide: CrossRoads Missions and their staff rely on the generosity of others to meet our operational financial needs. Click here to make a donation to help our ministry continue to grow.
