Our team in Mexico is growing! Just a few years ago the Mexico field welcomed its first year-long interns to the ministry after a long hiatus of the internship program. “Since then,” shared the Mexico team in a recent newsletter, “the number of interns, both long-term and seasonal, that we’ve had join us has skyrocketed. They’ve all been an enormous blessing and joy to our ministry as well as adding a youthful energy and their own unique talents to the areas that they serve in.”

“This spring we’ve hit an all-time high of nine interns, two for the spring season and the other seven are with us for a full year, it takes two full houses to accommodate all of them.” Along with the surge in interns, group numbers have also increased making housing space limited and valuable for the ministry as a whole. In anticipation of these needs, the team began construction of a new home last year: the Intern House!
This two-story home in the center of Piedra Angular, the neighborhood built by CrossRoads volunteers over the last thirty years, can accommodate up to twelve interns. One floor designated for boys and the other for girls, this house will not only provide our interns with comfortable rooms, but also a space for themselves to recoup and prepare for their specialized ministry work.

The 2026 interns will be providing vital support and ministry leadership for both CrossRoads Missions Mexico and the English House. With interns from both the US and Mexico, the team is equipped to continue their bilingual ministry across several demographics: teaching at the English House, immigrant care, hospital outreach, and construction both in Piedra Angular and across the city.
In another recent update, the team shared, “the house is fully framed, roofed, and has windows and doors installed. It is our hope to have the house fully functional sometime during our spring season.” Many hands have made this possible, but a special thank you goes to Post Road Church who stood most of the framing and to Kenny Sanders and Dan Jones for the extremely important electrical work!

Several generous donors also made this project possible. Thank you to Matt and Louise Boggs for the foundation of this new home, to Grace Fellowship in New Carlisle, Ohio for all of the construction materials, and to Southeast Christian Church for the furnishings once the home is complete! We are so thankful to have the Church come together in its many locations to further ministry.
