CrossRoads is seeking new Field Leaders for Appalachia and New Orleans.

Our Field Leaders work with the different volunteer groups that come into each geographical area in which CrossRoads serves. This position is tailor-made for an emerging leader who wishes to make a difference while working with a ministry that already holds a long track record of success in a targeted local community.

Both of these opportunities offer the chance to work in a unique setting with its own rich, local culture and wonderful people who are in need of help. Field Leaders also get to use and develop their leadership skills and expertise on a daily basis, while also establishing their own network of contacts with our partner organizations located across the United States.

Our New Orleans field works all across the city but our work is centered in Arabi in the St. Bernard Parish. Mission groups in New Orleans work to assist existing ministries and community organizations, serving alongside Christ-centered workers living in these areas to provide new opportunities for ministry, service, and outreach. That may mean constructing or remodeling a home, helping the homeless in the area, or organizing a summer children’s program.

Our Appalachia field is based in Floyd County in Eastern Kentucky. In addition to home building and repairs, our volunteers seek to bolster community ties through service projects, youth events and other methods of community outreach.

We’re looking for the following qualities in a candidate for one of our Field Leader positions.

• Willingness to lead and work to expand opportunities of Kingdom service
• A desire to make a true difference in an underserved community
• Enjoys team-building, and working in a dynamic environment where the goal is to maximize both efforts and resources
• Self-starter
• Some leadership experience is preferred!
