Dear Brian,
“Over the river and through the woods to grandmother’s house we go!” Remember, as a child how that song lit up your heart and created a warm, wonderful image of a Christmas to come. Imagine that image of grandmother’s house magically becoming a long sought after reality. Now, you have captured the essence of what Hanover Habitat for Humanity is about.

Thanks to your volunteer hours, donations, and amazing generosity, this community comes together on a regular basis to provide homes where families will gather together for years come to celebrate Christmas with family and create memories that were once only dreams.

The house below now belongs to Blanche Kelsaw who is a grandmother who could only dream of owning a home to celebrate Christmas in with her grandchildren. This year they will all gather at “grandmother’s house” thanks to you.

We wanted to pause, if just for a moment and thank you all for making dreams come true; for making Santa Claus a reality in the spiritual lives of the families we all served this year. There are many more houses to build, many more families to bless with a home of their own and we look to you helping us continue that heartwarming work.

Thank you for all you have done. Thank you for all that you will do to make Hanover a better, more loving community.

So, from our Habitat Family to yours, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays and thanks again you have truly made a lasting difference in the lives of many families this Christmas. As a matter of fact, I think I can hear the faint sound of sleigh bells jingling as a car full of excited children and parents `drive over the river and through the woods to their grandmother’s house for the first time.

Wishing you a warm and safe Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday,
Tim
