Get To Know Our Appalachia Intern, Eli Sager!

We all have different reasons for making the decisions that shape the course of our life, so what led Eli Sager to decide to become an intern with CrossRoads Missions? We felt Eli said it best himself:

“I hope to come to a point in my faith where my value and confidence comes from my relationship with God. I also want to be part of positive change across Kentucky, and the country.”

Born and raised in Pataskala, Ohio, Eli is in the midst of a yearlong internship for CrossRoads’ Appalachia field, which will transition to working with Help Build Hope. He had prior experience both in Appalachia and with Help Build Hope, and pursued the internship because he “felt God’s call to do mission work.”

Eli pursued an internship opportunity after he graduated from high school. He also is a member of Tri-Village Christian Church in his hometown of Pataskala. Working in our Appalachia field, which is based in Floyd County, Ky., Eli organizes community events and also helps with construction projects. Once he transitions to Help Build Hope, Eli will travel across the country participating in builds of the frames of affordable homes for families in need. Most of these builds will occur in church parking lots all over the United States.

“I am looking to God for guidance in my career. I love to work and build relationships,” he said.

In his spare time, Eli enjoys biking, camping, traveling, and watching TV. His favorite foods are tacos and ice cream, and he can’t turn down a good cup of coffee.
